Chartering in Australia

Australia has some of the most spectacular coastal and aquatic attractions in the world and approximately 70 per cent of all international visitors report enjoying coastal experiences as part of their trip.

Australia has the largest domestic fleet of superyachts available for charter in Asia Pacific. The majority of these vessels are based in New South Wales and Queensland, however vessels will regularly conduct charters through Western Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.

For foreign vessel charter, vessels currently are required to be imported into Australia to operate commercially.

Superyacht Australia is working with government to allow foreign vessel charter using a temporary coastal trading licence or facilitate an exemption for superyachts to be imported before operating commercially. Should this eventuate, it will be broadcast widely when available.
