Superyacht Australia has retained the reigns of hosting the “Crew Party of the Year” on the Superyacht Australia calendar of events, with 87 captains and crew from thirty-one yachts currently residing in Sydney Harbour.

The abrupt onset of stormy weather did little to deter guests from attending the tropical themed party, held in the character filled Royal Australian Navy Sailing Association (RANSA), with uplifting beats from DJ Emalia Jane.

Aimed at fostering connections between event sponsors, captains and crew, the Endless Summer Party celebrates the end of the busy charter season, held prior to farewelling the superyachts and crew who will venture north chasing the warmer winter weather to explore the Whitsundays, the Great Barrier Reef or further abroad into the Pacific waters of Vanuatu, Fiji, Tahiti, PNG and Indonesia.

The Endless Summer Party was gratefully sponsored by Superyacht Australia members, City of Gold Coast, East Coast Marine Centre, Mackay Marine Village, Onboard Engineering, Quality Marine Clothing and Superyacht Crew Academy.

Mackay Marina greeted everyone with a warm welcome upon arrival, offering two coolers filled with wine as lucky door prizes.

Quality Marine Clothing sponsored the best dressed “tropical” themed competition, encouraging all to go to their best efforts to be awarded a $1500 voucher.  The award was claimed by the crew from Shadow, with one member who donned a vibrant tropical orange Hawaiian outfit complete with an orange grass skirt and Hawaiian shirt.

Superyacht Australia identified the Tango crew for their outstanding effort in dressing up, rewarding them with an exhilarating experience of an adrenaline-pumping Oz Jet Boating shark attack thrill ride.

David Good, CEO of Superyacht Australia commented; “Our sixth Endless Summer party was timed perfectly to celebrate the end of the summer season before the vessels head north chasing the warmth of the winter cruising grounds. It’s an event where we can acknowledge and celebrate how hard the crew work as the backbone of our industry.

These professional and well-trained seafarers are the future of our maritime industry. Superyacht Australia would also like to extend a big thank you to all the sponsors who make this such a fun event to host.”

The Endless Summer Party was a fabulous success, and Superyacht Australia wishes to extend our gratitude to both sponsors and attendees for their invaluable contributions in bringing this event to life and making it so memorable.
