We recently navigated a successful expedition to Western Australia, highlighting our active role in the marine industry and creating waves of positive engagement with stakeholders and future industry professionals.

The journey commenced with an insightful stakeholder meeting in Henderson that witnessed a robust attendance from renowned marine industry giants, including the prestigious Echo Marine Group, the worldwide shipbuilding company Austal, the multifaceted CIVMEC and the Boating Industry Association – Western Australia. 

Their participation, along with others, marked the importance of this meeting in establishing stronger ties across all-sub sections of the marine industry, from defence, sustainment, manufacturing, superyachts, recreational boats, tourism and commercial operations.

Following the successful stakeholder meeting, our team represented the marine industry during the Perth Careers Expo, where local careers and global opportunities were promoted to event attendees.

The expo turned out to be a remarkable opportunity where we directly promoted the sector to a diverse audience that included students from over 100 local high schools and tradespeople from aligned sectors. The event was marked by high foot traffic, turning the Marine Jobs stand into a popular spot for career seekers interested in the marine industry.

High engagement from career seekers’ curiosity and interest, has ignited a significant increase in new talent considering a career in the marine industry. Their presence at the expo helped cast a spotlight on the vast career opportunities in the marine world, demonstrating how Marine Jobs can act as a bridge between talented individuals and leading marine/maritime organisations.

The Western Australia visit proved to be an enriching experience for our Marine Jobs team, successfully strengthening industry relationships and promoting our jobs platform to a wide audience. The trip served as a testament to their commitment to supporting the growth and vibrancy of the marine industry.
