7 guests woke up surrounded by the striking wilderness of the Kimberley landscapes, to hear the region had just won the World Superyacht Awards – Voyager Award the night before in Venice. The World Superyacht Awards are considered the “Oscars” of the Superyacht industry and the guests were soon to find out why it had been prized.

The explorer superyacht ANDA, Captain Alan Martlew and Ocean Alliance’s representatives Joachim and Laurie hosted senior  travel & charter experts and international press on-board for a one-of-a-kind expedition trip.

The itinerary focused on showcasing the Kimberley’s natural beauty, uncovered by the knowledgeable crew and dedicated experienced guide, Grant Streeter.

ANDA is a 42m explorer-style superyacht, ultimately stable thanks to her steel hull construction

In 2010, she underwent a complete rebuild, redesigning her for luxury expeditions across the globe. In 2012, the vessel was relaunched, allowing up 10 guests to sail to remote corners of the world in her refurbished 5 cabins, resplendent main saloon and expansive deck and entertaining spaces.

Starting with an insightful private tour of the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, the group was warmly welcomed on board with just caught seafood and departed towards the Horizontal Falls – Mother Nature’s first show among many.

A perfect blend of water and land-based activities kept the guests from London, Monaco and Australia on their toes: boarding the two RIB jet tenders to spot crocodiles early morning up the Prince Regent River, navigating through the powerful flow of the low tide at Montgomery Reef, indulging in Chef Jamie Mullen’s culinary delights as the sun sets or after a gorgeous hike behind the mangroves, climbing to observe a 30,000 year old Bradshaw-style aboriginal art site, swimming in a pure freshwater lagoon,…

Managing Director of Ocean Alliance, Jo Howard commented: “We are excited to be promoting a new superyacht charter destination for both our Australian and international clients wishing to experience one of Australia’s most undiscovered cruising grounds.”

Supported by Tourism Australia who are increasingly participating in the promotion of the country as a superyacht destination, the voyage finished with the guests boarding helicopters from Naturalist Island, to see ANDA at anchor beneath their feet.

Ocean Alliance proved once again successful with organising ground-breaking familiarisation trips in new destinations, in order to develop Australia as a cruising area for the Superyacht tourist.

A leading charter, brokerage and management agency based in Sydney, Ocean Alliance proudly represents ANDA and a charter fleet of high-quality vessels operating to international MYBA charter standards for local and international guests.

Ocean Alliance would like to thank the Owner of ANDA, the crew of 10 led by Captain Alan, along with Grant Streeter our dedicated Kimberley guide.

ANDA is available for Charter through their Central Agent – OCEAN ALLIANCE.

She will be available in The Kimberley from June to September, and thereafter relocating South to cruise the fishing heavens of the Abrolhos and Montebellos Islands, located midway towards Perth.
