Brisbane based Aus Ships Group has recently successfully completed the design and construction of a 100 passenger, ultra-luxe guest transfer catamaran for the soon to be opened, Intercontinental Hayman Island Resort in the Great Barrier Reef.

Sun Harmony, the new flagship for the resort, was designed by the in-house design studio – developing on the success of the sister vessels, Sun Symphony and Sun Serenity delivered for the same client in 2015 & 2016 respectively.

The construction was the first from the Group’s new purpose-built facility within the Rivergate Marina & Shipyard precinct in Brisbane, Australia. A construction period of 8 months from keel laying to handover is testament to the skill and efficiency of the entire team.

The design, styling and finish is more superyacht than commercial ferry – with leather lounge seating, marbled panels, mosaic tiles, polished stainless steel, woven vinyl flooring and high gloss superyacht coatings.

Beneath the 5-star exterior lies a proven commercial catamaran platform which provides an efficient operational platform and great seakeeping – all to make sure the champagne stays in the glass!

The Aus Ships Group is committed to providing high quality, professional and commercially competitive one stop solutions to the maritime industry, both domestically and internationally.

The Group’s proven track record was a key factor in being awarded this project – and its completion to such a high standard, on budget and ahead of time is verification of the capability of the team.
