The Australian Superyacht, Marine Export and Commercial Marine Industry (ASMEX) 2019 Conference will be officially opened by Superyacht Strategy Champion and Member for Cairns, Mr Michael Healy MP next Monday 20 May.

ASMEX will take place over two days from Monday 20 May to Tuesday 21 May with the 2019 Australian Marine Industry Awards Gala Dinner taking place on the evening of Tuesday May 21.

Now in its 9th successful year, ASMEX holds a reputation for its provision of quality information, valuable networking and providing industry with opportunities, solutions and outcomes to grow their businesses.

The conference will feature key note international speakers Philipp von Arnim from Lürssen Yachts and Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder of Italian superyacht builder Cantiere delle Marche along with domestic speakers including a panel discussion with Brenton Fisher, Sydney City Marine, Trenton Gay, Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, Steve Fisher, Rivergate Marina and Shipyard and Justin Parer from BSE Maritime Solutions on ‘Growth drivers in the Australian refit and repair market’.

On Tuesday 21 May, on the afternoon of the second day of the conference, delegates will have the choice of attending one of three breakout sessions – Marine Exports with presentations on foreign exchange and trade finance, overseas trade shows and innovation awards; Commercial Marine looking at ferry designs and emission regulations or the Superyacht breakout session focusing on training and recruitment and the Great Southern Route. These focussed sessions provide delegates with the focus that is the most relevant and of interest to them.
