QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA: Australia’s largest pontoon and jetty builder – formed through the landmark merger of Superior Jetties with The Jetty Specialist – has announced today the new company will be known as Marine Structures.

With company revenue in excess of $60 million per annum and projects throughout Australia and across the globe, the Marine Structures strategic union brings together two high profile and family-owned companies to create what is set to be the biggest Australian pontoon building powerhouse for government, marinas, resorts and residential sectors.

Prior to becoming Marine Structures, the now merged companies have successfully delivered over $700 million in marine infrastructure projects since 2000 and plenty more prior to that.

Jacob Morris, Director says the new Marine Structures name encapsulates the expansive capabilities for the new and proudly Australian owned company that has merged to expand resources, increase operational efficiency and take on a broader geographic reach.

“Marine Structures has impressive credentials and expertise having built and constructed some of Australia’s most significant government and commercial marine infrastructure projects, including the $41 million Southern Moreton Bay Islands Ferry Terminal Upgrades, the impressive $10 million boating infrastructure at Clump Point in North Queensland right through to smaller scale residential pontoons and jet ski docks,” Mr Morris said.

“The team of experts at Marine Structures manage design, approvals, engineering, manufacture and installation providing peace of mind for our clients.”

John Hogan, Director says Marine Structures is an exciting new frontier which will see the company expand into even broader markets throughout Australia and globally.

“Our aim is to set new standards for marine infrastructure and deliver even greater value to our clients through our new and enhanced capabilities and innovative pontoon solutions regardless of project size and scale,” Mr Hogan said.

“The design philosophy for Marine Structures is all about durability so that each one of our marine infrastructure projects withstands the test of time,” he said.

“We’re all about creating a superior waterfront experience thanks to the quality of our products and our attention to detail and customer care.”

Some of Marine Structures flagship projects have included the $22m Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron marina extension, $20m of public boating infrastructure projects for Brisbane City Council, the Gold Coast City Marina Superyacht basin, ongoing development at The Boatworks and Mackay Marina, and the $10m Clump Point Boating Infrastructure project.

Marine Structures have demonstrated significant capabilities in the superyacht sector completing the largest superyacht berth in Australia at Southport Yacht Club.  At 163 metres in length, it is designed and engineered to welcome and accommodate some of the world’s largest vessels.

Currently, Marine Structures are mobilising to Horn Island to install the new $9m Ferry Terminal pontoon, a key piece of infrastructure for the region, with a 50 year in-situ design life capable to withstands cyclonic conditions without removal from the water.

Nearly, Marine Structures are also designing and constructing the 67-berth marina with 20 dedicated superyacht berths which forms part of the Mantaray Marina and Residences located on The Spit at Southport.  In addition, work is underway at Sanctuary Cove Marina for the next stage of its expansion in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics.

Internationally, Marine Structures notable projects include the Paihia Wharf (New Zealand), multiple sites for Port Klang (Malaysia), Eden Rock (St Barts) and multiple other projects in Japan, Fiji, PNG, Hong Kong, Taiwan and The Philippines.
