Just in time for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of the Sydney International Boat Show, AIMEX will be hosting an exclusive networking event on Thursday 3rd August at the Sydney Hard Rock Cafe, the member’s invitation only event will be running from 7.30pm – 9.30pm.

AIMEX’s member’s invitation only event, provides an exclusive networking platform, for all AIMEX, Superyacht Australia and Australia Commercial marine members, to gain an up to date information, have a lively debate and acquire some great insights on how to build a sustainable business for the future.

“The Australian marine industry has extraordinary potential – it just needs to be unlocked with the right economic and regulatory conditions. The anticipated turnover of the AIMEX’s networking event will be an all-time high, as it’s already booked out and exceeds the previous numbers. AIMEX’s fully booked networking event will invariably give the perfect platform to build new relationships and to renew previous acquaintances, create business opportunities and provide an update of what is going on in the industry” stated MaryAnne Edwards, CEO of the Australian International Marine Export Group.

Given the spotlight currently on Australia’s thriving superyacht and marine industries, it is imperative that AIMEX members remain at the forefront of the Australian marine industry and are represented on a larger scale. Show attendees will be able to meet AIMEX members exhibiting and showcasing their capabilities and leading the Australian marine vanguard.

On Wednesday 2nd August, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) will take advantage of the fact most board members are in Sydney to hold their board meeting. AIMEX is the umbrella body for the export, superyacht & commercial marine sectors. At AIMEX’s upcoming board meeting amongst other issues the board of directors will be finalising the 2018 ASMEX Conference and Awards programme strategic plan and looking at the significant schedule of issues, boat shows and events they are involved in over the coming 6 months.  The continual growth of the organisation has also meant staffing numbers have increased with several new staff members attending the Sydney show to get a good feel for the industry.

Richard Chapman Chairman of AIMEX stated “We are in a growth phase for the organisation making it critical to remain in touch with the membership hence events like the networking function at the Sydney Boat show, are a key aspect of the culture of AIMEX and as always at our functions the event is completely booked out”.
