At 55 acres (21.8 hectares) The Boat Works is the largest Shipyard facility in the Southern Hemisphere encompassing a Boatyard – Marina and Superyacht Refit facility. With the largest concentration of skilled marine trade professionals and services available onsite in the heart of the Gold Coast’s Marine Precinct, service capabilities extend to all aspects of refit, repair, restorations, maintenance, berthing and Yacht Sales.
The facility is without a doubt the cleanest and greenest, using high-tech water filtration and recycling systems, waste disposal and solar arrays. The Boat Works comprises six haul out machines featuring the City of Gold Coasts largest Marine Travel lift at 300 tonnes. Controlled working environments, with over 70 individual refit sheds catering to vessels up to 50m, purpose-built superyacht refit sheds with 20m air draft that feature double sheeted walls with screens and additional benefits such as direct access to private offices & workshops, storage and ensuites. Major expansion paves the way with a new era of service, two 100-meter long, covered on water chutes which provide controlled working environments for all projects with complete protection from the elements. Other amenities include unlimited hardstand with multiple high amp power outlets, extensive work berths with a 4m work basin and a 60m dedicated superyacht berths. The site has 24-hour CCTV surveillance with added benefit of the onsite based caretakers.
The ‘Captain’s & Crew’s’ Lounge is a welcoming private venue open daily & soon becomes the home away from home location to coordinate trades and services. Ideal to welcome the Owners to connect and guests are welcomed to the 5-star valet style foyer to enjoy the hospitalities The Boat Works resort-like style yard welcomes. Featuring a unique private viewing platform away from the elements which value adds the experience for guest and customers whilst our team of professional’s concierge the arrival of the vessel.

SUPERYACHT REFIT WITH PRIVATE ENSUITES & WORKSHOPS
The Boat Works’ team comprises highly-qualified marina personnel, who are also boaties and take pride in every task: the 60 haul-outs per week they handle, keeping the yard and facilities spotless, meeting and greeting newcomers and facilitating trades and contractors for customers.
All our customers have access to free services such as ensuites, laundry, barbecues and lounge with complimentary wi-fi and office equipment, courtesy cars for provisioning or exploring the region, as well as the diversity of professional marine trades on-site and in the Coomera Marine Precinct who can be coordinated to service, maintain regular checks and to detail or wash down your boat.
With their warm and welcoming ambience, The Galley Restaurant & Bar, Café Espresso Twenty5 and Kokomo Kitchen & Bar are popular options for dining in, grab and go, or catering. There’s even a car museum onsite adjacent to the café featuring vintage and retro collections of boats, cars & bikes.

Foreign-flagged vessels can clear customs at Southport Yacht Club’s Megaberth facility, on the Broadwater before docking at The Boat Works. For visiting owners and crews, we have affiliations with local accommodation providers and are close to transport for ease of travel north to Brisbane or south to Byron Bay.
