Superyacht Australia’s 2011 Australia Superyacht & Marine Export Conference is attracting strong support from serious industry players, with leading maritime publisher Ocean Media being appointed as Official Media Partner for the event.

Ocean Media are publishers of premium luxury yachting and sports / recreational sailing titles titles across the Australia and Pacific region.

The company’s titles include Ocean magazine, the leading luxury superyacht magazine for Australia and the Pacific; Sails magazine, covering a broader range of racing and cruising yachts both large and small; Offshore Yachting, the official magazine for the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia; and the international superyacht cruising directory The Great Southern Route.

“We are delighted to be able to support our local industry at such an important event where we can interact with some of the most respected industry personalities,” said Ocean Media Co-Director Hillary Buckman.

“In tougher times it’s important that as an industry we work to improve transparency and
share our knowledge, and this inaugural event provides the ideal platform to do this. It’s a must-attend for all in the marine sector.”

MaryAnne Edwards, Superyacht Australia CEO, added:

“It is evident from the strong support shown by the Australian and State governments for this conference that the Australian Superyacht and Marine Export sectors are a significant part of the Australian economy. We are excited that a prestigious Australian publisher such as Ocean Media has been appointed as the official media partner for the event. Ocean Media are a key player in the Australian Superyacht sector and it is fitting that they are the Official Media Partner for this significant event.”

The Australian Superyacht & Marine Export Industry Conference (ASMEX) is a two day event staged at Sanctuary Cove Marine Village Theatre prior to the 23rd Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. It will bring together industry stakeholders, boat builders, service providers and marine industry manufacturers. A critical focus of the conference is promoting Australia as a key cruising destination plus looking at the excellent refit & repair services and facilities available.
