Superyacht Australia will be hosting a Breakfast briefing on the Friday morning of the show for key global industry players. This briefing will provide up to date information on key developments within the Australian industry. Key Australian stakeholders will discuss the 21 new anchorage points in the Great Barrier Reef, the new port of clearance at Southport Yacht Club on the Gold Coast to facilitate demand at the upcoming Commonwealth Games, the current crew visa system plus advising captains and charter brokers about the iconic cruising grounds and latest itineraries available to education those in attendance of the unique experience owners are looking for.
M.Edwards, CEO Superyacht Australia said, “Owners and charter guests are well versed in charter opportunities available in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, and they are now searching for the new regions to explore. Whilst the Asia Pacific region is often referred to as yachting’s third destination, many of the cultural riches, natural landscapes and unique cruising opportunities that our region has to offer are still relatively unknown. Stronger relationships with governmental authorities, enhanced transparency and consistency in rules and regulations throughout the region, along with the careful guidance of industry leaders, lead many to predict that Australia’s region’s status will elevate to the world’s second cruising destination in less than a decade.”
“By harmonising superyacht cruising regulations throughout South East Asia and the greater Asia Pacific region we can help make the area more appealing and easier to navigate, allowing captains to focus on the owner and guest experience as they cruise in these stunning waters,” Edwards explained.
Talented indigenous Australian entertainers the original Yothu Yindi band member Wityana and his world-renowned son Yirrmal, will be entertaining the public with the beautiful sounds of the didgeridoo and aboriginal songs at the Australian Breakfast and on the first day of the show at the Superyacht Australia/Tourism Australia stand (Darse Sud QS59).
